The Origins of the Trademark
Created by the Club des Entrepreneurs du Pays de Grasse and founding members that are representative of the industry, the Grasse Expertise collective trademark unites professionals from the fragrance, flavors, cosmetics, and health and well-being industries in the region. Grasse Expertise is a strategic territorial initiative that fosters sustainable economic development.
After a two-year creative group process, the eleven founding members, representative of the four filières d’excellence, aided by regional entities like the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse and the Région Sud, began taking the steps and laying the groundwork for the trademark. The Grasse Expertise territorial trademark was then registered with France’s National Institute of Industrial Property as a Marque Collective in 2017. Since then, Grasse Expertise has been an integral part of a unique ecosystem that is particularly attractive to industry professionals.
Why the trademark Grasse Expertise ?
Grasse Expertise is both a regional trademark of excellence and a solid collective that stimulates synergies and connections between all the entities in a complete ecosystem including entrepreneurs, creators/designers, experts, growers, scientists, training organizations, trade associations, institutional and territorial actors, as well as competitiveness clusters.
Grasse Expertise was created to offer a unique opportunity for meetings and dialogue on various themes (trade expertise, markets, innovation, CSR, territory, employment, solidarity, etc.) and to pool skills to form a highly specialized cluster.
The geographic area covered by the Grasse Expertise territorial trademark runs from the eastern part of the Var département to the Carros area of Nice. The territory encompasses the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse, the entire Préalpes d’Azur Regional Natural Park, as well as the towns and villages that have historically been centers of perfume-plant production.
