The Espace Jacques-Louis Lions is a leading-edge hub that groups variety of complementary skills (students, teachers, researchers, startups) conducive to research and innovation in fragrances, flavors, natural ingredients, and natural products. This building is home to the InnovaGrasse business incubator, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis chemistry hub, and the ERINI collaborative research platform.

InnovaGrasse is a business incubator designed to host entrepreneurs who are founding companies of innovative character and high development potential, providing them with private office space or a coworking area and ensuring the services and amenities essential to the development of budding companies.



Erini, a research platform based on public-private partnerships, offers the aromatic and cosmetics industries strategic capacities for analyzing natural products, helping them to: 

• better characterize natural extracts 
• more precisely quantify them 
 • verify their origins

University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis

The University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis has relocated a part of its chemistry department to Grasse, where it offers a Master’s degree and several university degrees (DU). Students carry out their studies on a work-study basis at the region’s companies. The Master 2 Foqual trains managers in the fields of chemical analysis, formulation, and quality. The training lasts for one year (600 hours) on an alternating work-study basis: three days at a company, two days of coursework. Half is taught by university professors, half by industry professionals. Several other university degrees are also available: 

Food Flavoring, Cosmetology, Modern Analysis Techniques, Fragrance, Flavor, and Cosmetic Regulation The UNS also provides services to companies, such as access to application, analysis, and control laboratories. . 



Business park

ArômaGrasse is the business park dedicated to the Fragrance, Flavors, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, and Biotechnology industries and is centrally located in the Pays de Grasse. Land and real estate units are available for purchase by industry professionals in a totally renovated park with all key amenities: networks, roads, lighting, access, landscaped areas, etc. ArômaGrasse is also home to the Hôtel d’Entreprises business center.

The Hôtel d’Entreprises business center is located in the ArômaGrasse business park dedicated to the Fragrance, Flavors, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, and Biotechnology industries. It will have large laboratory and storage areas available, along with offices, meeting rooms, and the services and safety equipment needed for scientific pursuits. The laboratories will be rented unfurnished, with appropriate extraction systems, access to water, electricity, and gas: 
They are therefore tailored to the needs of companies leaving the incubator, as well as more mature companies endogenous and exogenous to the territory in the fields of cosmetics, health, life sciences, and biotechnology, as well as scientific research and analysis activities. The center will also accommodate industrial manufacturing chains requiring clean, healthy environments or even electronics laboratories.


Initiative Terres d’azur

Initiative Terres d’Azur offers technical and financial support (interest-free honor loans) in the creation, resumption, or development of your company in the Pays de Grasse and surrounding area.

A multidisciplinary team is at your disposal to help you formalize your project, identify your needs, confirm the economic relevance of your plans, help emphasize your distinctive assets, assemble financial resources, and strengthen your practices as a responsible entrepreneur and citizen. Les fleurs d’Exception du Pays de Grasse

The Fleurs d’Exception du Pays de Grasse (The Extraordinary Flowers of Grasse) is a non-profit association made up of perfume-plant producers. 

Its objectives include: 
Promoting and developing the plant and floral crops of Grasse and the surrounding region. 
 • Protecting the specific, territorial identity of the Pays de Grasse crops and those of the surrounding region. 
Encouraging and facilitating establishment of new farmers of organically grown floral crops. 
Developing research programs and partnerships. 


The Pays de Grasse Economic Services Agriculture Department

In addition to its work with cities and towns, the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse must facilitate and encourage farming in the territory

Through a variety of initiatives, the Pays de Grasse works to: 

- Strengthen the economic role of the region’s farms 
- Recognize, calculate, and incorporate the impact of agriculture in the territory’s equilibrium and management 
- Promote closer relationships between the territory’s farmers and other actors

The PASS Competitiveness Cluster

The Pôle Parfums Aromas Senteurs Saveurs is a competitiveness cluster that serves as a benchmark in the characterization, evaluation, and production of natural extracts. Its mission also includes innovating for a sustainable supply chain, leading the evolution of industry practices toward greener and more responsible chemistry. It has several key missions:
• introduce and catalyze innovation projects uniting all entities in the fragrance, flavors, and cosmetics industries, upstream to downstream, in both the private and public spheres 
• implement formative technological programs 
• offer its members collective initiatives and pooled services. 



Prodarom is a national trade union whose members are raw-material producers and composition manufacturers in the perfume industry.

Grasse Institute of Parfumery

Offers international training in the fields of fragrances, flavors, cosmetics. Hosts conferences and activities centered on flavors and fragrances.

Le Club des Entrepreneurs du Pays de Grasse

The Club des Entrepreneurs du Pays de Grasse is an association of directors and leaders from a wide variety of local businesses 

– 50% of which are in the fragrance and flavor industries 
– in the Pays de Grasse that help promote the renown and attractiveness of the Pays de Grasse. The Club is a driving force behind initiatives and plans for the region. It initiated creation of the Observatoire Mondial du Naturel and GRASSE EXPERTISE™. The Observatoire Mondial du Naturel is a strategic, thematic regional hub, launched by the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays de Grasse, home to the Espace Jacques Louis Lions (renovating the abandoned Roure factory), the InnovaGrasse startup incubator, the Erini platform, the University of Nice hub and the ArômaGrasse business park. These are business leaders who are proactive about the region’s future.

French Tech Côte d’Azur, also known as French Riviera Tech, is a collective of regional actors committed to promoting startups in two ways:
